Advocacy
RAD's Advocacy Service supports Deaf and hard of hearing people to enable them to achieve independence. We do this by working with them to access information, to make informed choices about decisions and services that affect their lives. We promote equal access and support Deaf people in making complaints regarding discrimination.
RAD's Advocacy Service is currently funded by Essex County Council. For work in areas outside of Essex County Council, a spot purchase can be arranged.
If you:
- Feel other professionals do not listen or understand you
- Have problems getting the help and support you need
- Are unhappy about a service you have received
- Are worried about something and want to talk to someone
- Want to make a complaint
- Need support with benefits, debts, direct payment, discrimination (DDA), employment, family health, housing, etc.
please get in touch with RAD's Advocacy team.
