London Deaf BMER Service Will Continue

Because of cuts, RAD’s London-wide advocacy service for Deaf people from minority ethnic communities was due to lose its funding from London Councils in June this year, leaving many vulnerable Deaf people with nowhere else to turn.

Now, thanks to a judicial review and the hard work of the RAD team in providing evidence, London Councils has agreed to carry on funding the service till October 2012. This is fantastic news for RAD, for those delivering the service and the clients who will continue to receive the support they need. For further information on the service go to the following page.
