BMER Advocacy Project funded by London Councils
The Deaf black, minority ethnic and refugee (BMER) project is a free and confidential service available to anyone who is:
- Deaf
- Lives in London, and
- Is either a refugee, a migrant or from any other black or minority ethnic background.
- Go with you to meetings
- Help you to make telephone calls
- Change your letters into British Sign Language (BSL)
- Explain your rights
- Give you information so you can make decisions
- Refer/ Signpost to different services
- Help you to take control of your life
- Support you in achieving your goals
