Extending Opportunities Project
- To support Deaf young people, their siblings and hearing children of Deaf adults aged between 0 - 25 years to access mainstream activities.
- To work with mainstream clubs and activity providers to improve deaf awareness.
- To recruit volunteers with BSL skills to bridge communication needs and support workshops.
- To run taster activity sessions and group workshops for Deaf young people, siblings and children of Deaf adults.
Southend-on-Sea
- To support Deaf young people 0 - 19 years to access mainstream activities.
- To work with mainstream clubs and activity providers to improve deaf awareness.
- To recruit volunteers with BSL skills to bridge communication needs and support workshops.
- To run taster activity sessions and group workshops for Deaf young people in southend on Sea.
Essex and Southend
To organise Summer camps and all day activities to provide a break for parents.
The Extending Opportunities project is funded by Aiming High for Disabled Children Essex, Essex Local Priority fund , Children in Need and Southend on Sea Aiming High For Disabled Children.
