Do you have a secret talent?

Can you do magic tricks, wicked dance moves, perform signed songs, tell jokes, or do you have another fantastic skill?
 
Would you like to show your talent off and win a prize?

Are you available on 3rd & 4th October 2008, willing to travel to London and perform at the RAD Mela? (Expenses will be paid)

If yes, then please come along to our 'Deafies Got Talent' auditions on Saturday 30th August 2008 at RAD West Ham Deaf Community Centre, Stratford, East London, E15 3QR.

If selected for the Grand Final, you will be performing to a big crowd in London on Saturday 4th October 2008 and competing against other performers for a big cash prize. The winner will be announced at the Mela after all acts have performed.

If you want to come along to the London audition, please download the form from www.radmela.org.uk fill it in and return it to us as soon as possible.

The British Council are looking for participants to take part in their Young Advocates Programme where approximately 240 disabled and non-disabled young people from around the world will become volunteer leaders in promoting the Paralympics Spirit and the inclusion of young people with disabilities in sport. Those selected will travel to Beijing this September and become part of a Youth Forum. Applicants must be aged 18-25. Do you need advice on welfare benefits?

RAD is working with the Legal Services Commission to improve access to their Community Legal Advice Helpline for D/deaf and hard of hearing people.

This new pilot project offers email advice on welfare benefit matters for those eligible for Legal Aid in England and Wales.
