Royal Association for Deaf people and JDA launch a new Employment Hub

 

The Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) are pleased to announce their partnership with the Jewish Deaf Association (JDA) to enable Deaf people to access employment support at their new Employment Hub at Julius Newman House, North Finchley, London.

What is the Employment HUB?

The Employment HUB is a drop-in service where Deaf people can get support in:

  • Career guidance
  • CV writing
  • Personal statements
  • Job searching
  • Interview practice
  • Apprenticeships
  • Traineeships
  • Volunteering
  • Translation support
  • Information sharing
  • Signposting

We will also be running one-to-one sessions (available by appointment only) where Deaf people can meet with a RAD Specialist Employment Adviser for support with issues such as:

  • Discrimination
  • Access to Work
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Deaf awareness
  • Job appeals
  • Work place issues
  • Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Employment related benefits

When?  

Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.

Where?

Julius Newman House

Time?

Employment HUB: 1:30pm—4:30pm

One-to-one sessions: 10.00am—12:30pm
