Terms, Conditions & Charges
RAD Interpreting offers a high quality, professional and competitively priced service
RAD Interpreting only works with and uses NRCPD Communication Professionals. The NRCPD status of all Communication Professionals, including any additional (booked) co-workers that are not sourced by us, will be checked prior to confirmation of booking.
Respecting client choice is very important to us; please let us know of your Communication Professional preferences.
When booking BSL/English Interpreters we will, in the first instance, endeavour to allocate a staff interpreter. If no staff interpreters are available or appropriate we will extend our search to our pool of freelance interpreters.
The following rates apply for ad-hoc assignments undertaken by RAD staff interpreters (please note that the use of freelance interpreters may incur a higher fee).

RAD Interpreting does not charge VAT or charge for travel time
All profit generated through our communication services supports the work of the charity in empowering the wider Deaf community.
A minimum of 10 clear working days notice is required for cancellations. Clear working days do not include the day of notification of the cancellation – or the day of the cancelled assignment.
Public Transport expenses will be charged at cost and mileage will be charged at 48 pence per mile. Any additional travel costs such as parking or toll road fees are charged at cost. An invoice will be sent shortly after the assignment, and payment must be made within 30 days of receipt to RAD Interpreting.
For assignments commencing before 8.00am or finishing after 6.00pm, or at weekends or on Bank Holidays, there will be a supplementary charge of one additional hour per session. (Session = Morning, Afternoon or Evening).
Preparation Time and Other Expenses:
Preparation time will be charged for more complex assignments, by prior agreement. Charges for meals and accommodation may also be made as necessary and appropriate. Specialist assignments (e.g. Legal work) may incur higher charges. You will be advised of this at the time of booking.
