Who We Are

What We Do

We offer a range of tailored services that support Deaf people through their journey into employment. We help and encourage people to up-skill, to access training and work placements, to navigate the job application process (which can be quite complex, particularly when your first language is not English). We also support with job searches, applying for employment/volunteer opportunities and interview coaching/ preparation.

We actively engage with employers supporting sustainable employment; improving Deaf awareness and supporting reasonable adjustments to be made. With this holistic support both employer and employee have the information needed to build a successful working relationship.

Who are we?

Our Specialist Employment Advisers are either deaf themselves or fluent in British Sign Language (BSL). We offer services nationally, both independently and through partnerships with other providers.

We have robust core training including; Induction, Safeguarding, Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) (level 3), Supervision. First Aid and tailored Continuous Professional Development (CPD). This enables people to achieve their full potential and meet the specific needs of the service. We ensure we are up to date with current working practices and legislation (and how this impacts on our service) through our involvement in various partnerships and stakeholder groups.

We are members of The Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) which is the representative body for the employment support sector. ERSA supports its members achieve their shared goal: to help people gain sustainable employment and to progress in work.
