How We Do It

We deliver high quality services that meet the communication and other needs of young D/deaf young people. Our service is Matrix accredited which ensures the quality of our advice and support services – ultimately supporting the people we work with to make the right choices for themselves around career, learning, work and life goals.

Partnerships are essential in order to develop services that are all inclusive; we adopt a proactive approach to partnership working in order to continually develop our services; both specialist and mainstream providers are part of our networks.

Our services include:

  • RAD Integr8
    • In school/college support; working with deaf young people who disengaged are at risk of becoming excluded from school and/or Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
    • One to one sessions in any learning environment
  • Employability Support/Advice
    • CV workshops, interview preparation, career guidance and support with work experience/placements
  • Youth Advice
    • IAG around further education, benefits, money management, family, health and sex education
      Support for school and home leavers
  • Youth Groups
  • Youth led activities
  • Social Youth Hubs
  • Day trips
  • Life Skills
    • Confidence building sessions, Health talks, Driving theory/ lessons
      Literacy/Numeracy workshops, Travel training
  • Befriending – combination of the above delivered one to one in the community
  • Bespoke person-centered support packages

We also provide communication support for young people to participate in external opportunities such as with the Princes Trust.

We gather and monitor feedback from the people we support and other stakeholders as part of our quality assurance processes. It is important that people tell us what they think.
