We are absolutely delighted to be working alongside Deaf4Deaf to expand wellbeing and mental health services to Deaf people; reaching out to those who need information, advice and support. So that we can do more with the incredibly generous donation from 2Deaf Foot, we are pleased to announce that RAD will be match-funding the monies raised.
TalkMore will enable Deaf people to come together through peer support to discuss life-challenges, share experiences and simply talk more.
It will provide much needed Mental Health First Aid training to groups of Deaf people across the UK so that people can better understand the importance of self-help and taking care of their mental health and wellbeing. It will also prepare and share valuable information in BSL about wellbeing & mental health via our Wellbeing Hub which will include an information and support line (video/live-chat).
We anticipate the hub being operational and our Deaf MHFA trainer/s commencing delivery of this incredibly valuable training in April 2020. We are keen to do all that we can to educate, inform and support through TeamRAD and also our partners.
