Have you already achieved level 1 in British Sign Language? Are you looking to build on your skills? Royal Association for Deaf people (RAD) is running a level 2 British Sign Language course at its Head Office in Colchester, starting on 12th September 2018. Please note that RAD will be moving offices at the latter end of 2018 so the venue will change but it will still be in the Colchester area.

The learner will gain a national recognised qualification Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language. The course will develop communication in BSL about real life, routine and daily experiences.

The group will consist of a small number of learners and the course will be delivered by a qualified teacher who is a native BSL user and a registered/qualified tutor.

The course will be delivered on a weekly basis (every Wednesday morning– term time only, 10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.) starting in September 2018 until July 2019.

The course cost is £420 inclusive of all resources and tutoring, registration and exam fees made to Signature. 

Duration: 90 hours of study and assessment over a 36 week period.

201 – Receptive skills

202 – Productive skills

203 – Conversational skills
