Our experienced staff, who are either Deaf themselves or fluent in British Sign Language (BSL), are available to support young Deaf people to make informed choices.

Family Sign

We provide tailored sessions to individual families to learn British Sign Language (BSL) in order to establish effective and meaningful family conversation and improving relationships

Befriending service

Our befriending service helps reduce isolation and increase confidence.

Our mentoring programme provides a safe and stable environment for young Deaf people to develop their identity.

We develop and deliver topical workshops aimed at young Deaf people.

“From the training to the initial home visits, to the regular reviews and feedback to the school and any additional support needed, RAD has delivered a service that is very valuable and worthwhile, having a positive impact on pupil outcomes through supporting families to learn their child’s first language in the home.”
